Great Minds Think Alike

Kitchens naturally attract clutter, so it's no wonder kitchen and gadget designers alike are always looking for ways to seamlessly combine form and function - the basics of good design.

Julia Child certainly took this to heart. Not only did she display her wares for everyone to see, she even outlined each item so she was able to replace cooking equipment with ease.

My Mother wasn’t as concerned about function as she was aesthetics. She had Dad make a burlap-covered pegboard so she could show off her collection of vintage kitchen utensils and hung it right over the dining room table, creating an instant focal point in the room.

Two great ladies with two great ideas.
