Hello Spring

Ask anyone I know and they'll tell you that when winter rolls around, I'm already wishing for snow. If I could control the weather, it would start to snow just after Thanksgiving (on Thanksgiving is okay too) and continue through January. However, once mid February hits, I'm ready for it to melt away so when spring actually arrives, I can start to focus on the outdoors.

This time of year, as I start to lighten up my home, I crave every shade of green I can get my hands on. These white and green flowers are perfect for in between seasons. I'm already planning what to put on my porch and in my homeplanters and pots full of herbs, mini vases of flowers for around the house, and a few fun projects to remind me to get outside and play as often as I can. I finally feel like I can say good-bye to the snow and dream about the reflection of a milky white moon over warm, clear waters.

You know spring has finally arrived when you wake one morning to find the sunlight has shifted. It dances through our winter-weary homes peeking through curtains, washing over walls. You can smell the earth before you can see itfresh and clean and full of promise. Birdsong reminds us that the days are growing longer. Winter's grip can be strong, but time, always, is on spring's side.

Love the photos of green & white...so fresh. I'm exactly like you with winter & wanting snow early. Although I love it through February. But come March I'm ready for the spring thaw & the promise of gardening.

My favorite spring & summer bouquets are a mix of whites, green & chartreuse...with a little silver lamb's ear thrown in for texture. These bouquets usually contain many herbs as well. Hurry Spring !!!

P.S. Also love your description of the smell of the earth before the snow is gone...so true!
