Totally Crushing Over

Decorations! Indoors, outdoors... it doesn't matter to me as long as everything is tied up with a beautiful ribbon, some glitter and glitz, a sprinkle of snow, and lots of color and texture.

Winston Flowers knows how to set a pretty table by combining a bit of everything. Don't be afraid to mix your best crystal with gingerbread men. This casual/elegant look can be fine-tuned for the kiddies, too. Replace the floral centerpiece with a gingerbread house and the crystal with plastic, and you're good to go.

Dress up your wreaths with a few easily accessible embellishments. Affix berries, additional greens, pinecones, cinnamon sticks, and a few jingle bells with floral wire and you'll turn an ordinary wreath into something very merry indeed.

Christmas trees don't have to be big or even decorated. These miniature trees from Terrain have been planted in gold-painted terracotta pots filled with some moss to keep the soil from spilling out, and then dusted with powdered sugar. Place them all around the house and consider gifting one to someone you love.

I love wrapping presents, and the more decorations I can pile on top, the happier I am. This particular collection is from Anthropolgie. Be inspired to wrap everything up in pretty papers, layers of bows and ribbons, and then top it all off with something unique. My favorites? Bells, candy canes (real or faux), bits of greenery, gold and silver wire, small ornaments, miniature frames... Get creative.

Oh, I didn't forget the links. Here are some for you to enjoy... Have a very merry weekend!
